Sure, there are folks that will take you on a so-called 4 hour "deep sea" or "offshore" trip, but that means, "just off the shore" to the same types of places we might explore in our shorter 4 hour inshore programs. We value accurate descriptions and bet you do, too. So just to be clear, we consider the first few miles out as technically Inshore Fishing and Nearshore Fishing.
Even in a typical 6 hour trip, we think your time is best spent on some closer (<3 mi) destinations so you can spend more time fishing and less time traveling.
Our 8 Hour Offshore fishing trips are the real deal, a serious journey out to distant wrecks and reefs. On an 8 Hour trip, we can choose from a variety of distant points, such as the Betsy Ross, Tire Reef, or Eagle's Nest, and a 10 Hour trip gives us the option to go even further.
Techniques can vary from bottom fishing with live bait or high speed jigging, casting plugs, or trolling. While no experience is necessary, we suggest you have a good idea about what it’s like being in a boat, at sea, all day. We love it, and hope you will too.
