Dolphin Wildlife Refuge Tour™
For the best dolphin tour in Hilton Head, journey into the dolphin rich waterways of Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge with Live Oac. View secluded islands and tidal creeks that most people don’t get to see!
Our local dolphin population is second to none in the Lowcountry. View abundant and diverse wildlife, especially birds like osprey, herons, egrets, shorebirds, pelicans, and even a pair of bald eagles who’ve hidden their nest dip in the Wildlife Refuge. This ecosystem is filled with oysters, crabs, fish, shrimp, and countless other creatures.
This dolphin watching tour is our most popular outing on a year-round basis. We don't think you'll find better Hilton Head dolphin tour on a comparable vessel.
Why? Among the answers is that we have something that others just can't compete with: The Perfect Location. Thanks to our great dock on Hilton Head Island's Skull Creek, we have access to a level of dolphin activity and a year round local dolphin population that is unparalleled. For this reason, we are able to offer a Dolphin Guarantee* on all our dolphin watching trips!
Experience the difference of our SUV Deck Boats with a professional captain at the helm. Avoid impersonal big boats — Enjoy a comfortable ride and interactive experience with your Live Oac guide!
Offered as 1, 1½, and 2 Hour trips. The 2 Hour version is our most popular, because we are able to circumnavigate the largest island in the Wildlife Refuge, minimizing backtracking. Therefore we tend to see 3-4 times more area on the 2 hour trip than we do on the 1 hour. It combines a variety of sights, from small creeks in the remote middle of the refuge, to some open water vistas of perhaps the nicest waterfront real estate on Hilton Head. The 1 Hour trip is a great choice for families with infants and toddlers, or those who just don’t want to spend too much time on the water. The 1½ hour offers a happy medium that fits some groups best. Call for some personalized advice on what dolphin eco tour might suit you best.
Led by an educated interpretive naturalist and US Coast Guard licensed captain.
